RSS office attack in Ranchi: Pakistan ISI-backed terror network uncovered

NEW DELHI: Days after the Ranchi RSS office attack, a police investigation into the three arrested accused has uncovered links to Pakistan’s ISI-funded Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan (TTH), according to sources cited by news agency ANI on Friday. The alleged role of Pakistan’s ISI came to light after the arrests made a day earlier.Officials said all three arrested individuals were in constant touch with their handlers through encrypted messaging platforms, including Botim and WhatsApp. The Botim app is widely used in Dubai. The ANI sources further claimed that the accused recorded the entire incident involving the throwing of petrol bombs on their mobile phones and later shared the footage with their handler.Investigators also said accused Saif Ansari and Aman Ansari had travelled to Dubai, where they allegedly came into contact with Shahbaz Rana alias Bhatti, a Pakistani national. They are believed to have been radicalised during this period and later agreed to carry out activities in support of TTH’s alleged anti-India agenda. The investigation in the matter is still under way.

Should better communication be established between countries to prevent such activities?
