Day 4 of CJP protest: Cockroaches voice for 'sadda haq' amid Delhi Police fiasco as demand for Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation continues

NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janata Party’s overnight protest entered its fourth day at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday, with demonstrators continuing to demand Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Amid chants of Sadda haq and renditions of Sandeshe aate hain, the group also alleged that Delhi Police attempted to disrupt the protest by shifting barricades and bringing in a truck to “squeeze” the demonstration site.In one video posted around 1 am, the group alleged that Delhi Police attempted to reduce the size of the protest site by shifting barricades under the cover of darkness. “Delhi Police, in the dead of night, began to move the barricades to squeeze the protest site into a smaller area,” the CJP claimed, adding that protesters rushed to the barricades after getting “whiff” of the move and prevented the plan from being carried out.In another post, the group alleged that police made a failed attempt to bring a truck inside Jantar Mantar to further restrict the demonstration area. Sharing a video of protesters singing Sandeshe Aate Hain, the CJP wrote: “Cockroaches are awake & fighting the system.” Delhi Police had not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of writing.

Dipke steps up attack over NEET row

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke stepped the attack on Centre over examination irregularities and NEET paper-leak controversy.“You cannot tolerate four minutes of delay, but how can we tolerate the continuation of the education minister after the deaths of students?” he said, referring to their demand for Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.“Mentally, I am not in a good space as we had to prepare for and give the exam again. After the exam, you tend to relax, but they leaked the paper and cancelled the NEET,” PTI quoted a student from Bihar saying.Dipke has called for Pradhan’s resignation, financial assistance for the families of students who allegedly died by suicide in the aftermath of the paper-leak controversy, and the scrapping of the examination. The protest is being conducted under tight security, with police personnel deployed around Jantar Mantar and barricades erected at the site. This marks the CJP’s second demonstration at Jantar Mantar over alleged examination paper leaks, with protesters seeking accountability from the Centre and education authorities.
