New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra achieved a major milestone in international cricket by completing 4,000 international runs during his side’s final Test against England in Nottingham on Saturday. At the end of Day 3, Ravindra remained unbeaten on 60 off 90 balls, helping New Zealand reach 120/3 and extend their lead to 204 runs.

Rachin Ravindra’s International Numbers

Ravindra has now scored 4,014 international runs for New Zealand across formats. The left-hander has made 115 appearances and averages 36.82 with the bat. His tally includes 10 centuries and 17 half-centuries in 125 innings, with a career-best score of 240 in Test cricket. His achievements do not stop there. In Test cricket alone, Ravindra has amassed 1,831 runs in 24 matches, including five centuries and seven fifties.His ODI record has been equally impressive. In 39 innings, the 26-year-old has scored 1,424 runs at an average of nearly 42, including five centuries and six half-centuries, with a high score of 123. Ravindra’s T20I career has been comparatively modest so far. In 52 matches and 46 innings, the top-order batter has scored 759 runs at an average of 20.51 and a strike rate of 135.29. While he is yet to score a century in the format, he has registered four half-centuries, with a best score of 69.Coming to the match, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first. A massive 317-run partnership between Tom Latham and Devon Conway laid the foundation for the Kiwis’ first-innings total of 438.England responded with 354 in their first innings, led by Ben Duckett’s explosive 113 off just 99 balls. Jacob Bethell contributed 74 from 133 deliveries, while Harry Brook added 58 off 80 balls, with both batters registering half-centuries.The visitors will resume with Rachin Ravindra (60)* and Daryl Mitchell (26)* at the crease on day 4, looking to extend their unbeaten partnership and push the lead beyond the 350-run mark. England, meanwhile, will rely on Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, and spinner Shoaib Bashir to strike early and keep their hopes of a series-clinching victory alive.
