Chaos breaks out as Egypt team greets fans outside Dallas hotel

Egypt’s arrival in Dallas was meant to be a celebration ahead of their knockout clash with Australia at AT&T Stadium. A large group of supporters, including many children, waited outside the team’s hotel hoping to meet their favorite players.Among those greeting fans was winger Trezeguet. He was seen signing a shirt and posing for a selfie with a young supporter. Moments later, Egypt team director Ibrahim Hassan walked over to the same area. The situation changed within seconds. A US police officer responsible for security approached Hassan. Video footage appears to show the officer pushing the former Egypt international backward while asking people to move away from the area. The confrontation quickly became physical. Several Egypt players and staff rushed over after seeing the incident. A brief struggle followed as both sides tried to control the situation. Throughout the exchange, the officer repeatedly instructed those around him to keep their distance and step back from the restricted area. The tense moment lasted for about half a minute. Other security personnel and members of the Egypt delegation then intervened. They separated everyone involved and escorted the upset Egyptian officials away from the entrance, bringing the confrontation to an end.Neither the Egyptian Football Association nor local authorities immediately released detailed statements about the incident. The team reached the Round of 32 after finishing second in Group G.
