'Dangerous conspiracy' to vilify democracy: BJP

NEW DELHI: BJP Wednesday lashed out at opposition parties over their letter to CJI Surya Kant over SIR, saying it is a “dangerous conspiracy” to malign Indian democracy and spread anarchy by targeting institutions.Taking on Congress, BJP said the style and language used in their letter is “reminiscent” of what was seen during the period of Emergency. “With this, they have made another unsuccessful attempt to attack democracy,” party spokesperson and MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said.“They failed to present …factual argument in the courts (during hearing of the matter),” he added, alleging the opposition is raising questions because their “dream of capturing power” seems to be shattering.
