CJP hits back at Kangana Ranaut

NEW DELHI: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has dismissed BJP MP Kangana Ranaut‘s attack on young protesters, saying even her own party colleagues do not take her seriously so why should they.“Even members of her own party don’t pay much heed to Kangana Ranaut or take her seriously, so why should we?” CJP chief spokesperson Saurav Das said. “I don’t think anyone in Gen Z, Gen Alpha, or any younger generation takes her seriously or listens to what she says.“Das pointed to Ranaut’s own remarks from her Himachal Pradesh constituency, where she had said she expected the job to require very little work, only to realise being an MP involves massive labour. “That speaks volumes about her own seriousness,” he added.The BJP MP had launched a scathing attack on the young demonstrators who protested against the NEET paper leak, questioning their conduct while defending Prime Minister Narendra Modi against what she called “filthy abuse.”Ranaut specifically targeted the language used against PM Modi during the protests. “Our 75-year-old Prime Minister was targeted, and filthy abuse was hurled at his late mother,” she said. She questioned whether such conduct befits students, adding, “We, too, have participated in student protests. But what kind of students are these, and what kind of obscene language are they using?”The actor-politician drew a contrast between the protesters and her own journey, pointing out that she has been self-reliant since age 16. “If these individuals need Supreme Court lawyers or legal counsel in the future, will their parents be able to afford it?” she asked. “They do not have the means to afford it themselves. We have been building our own careers since the age of sixteen. We have never been a burden on our parents.“Earlier on her Instagram stories, Ranaut had earlier called the protest reels “puke inducing” and used the term “Generation Gutter”. She dubbed Gen Z women as “so-called westernised Indian women” who are “not good at studies” and “so ugly and corrupt that they cannot be homemakers either.”“If you try to live independently without accountability, you are just a distorted entity. Gutter chap,” she added.The Mandi MP’s remarks came as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) wound up its 36-day agitation after the government conceded to its demands. Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Union education minister and Pralhad Joshi was given additional charge of the ministry, paving the way for the protest’s withdrawal.
