NEW DELHI: Delhi HC directed the Centre Tuesday to immediately provide an additional personal security officer (PSO) to the Purnia MP, Pappu Yadav, while Union home ministry decides on his request for Y+ security cover.Yadav filed a writ petition seeking enhanced security cover in view of alleged death threats he received following his participation in protests in Parliament against NEET fiasco and Ram Temple donation theft. He informed the court that he made a representation to the home ministry regarding the request Aug 5 and was awaiting a response.The Centre’s counsel said that while “adequate security” has already been provided, his request will be decided within three weeks.
