PSL presser drama! Foreign coach loses cool, starts swearing in Pakistan - Watch

NEW DELHI: A post-match press conference in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 turned tense after Islamabad United head coach Luke Ronchi lost his cool following his team’s defeat to RawalPindiz.Islamabad United endured a disappointing outing, getting bowled out for just 137, a target RawalPindiz chased down comfortably in 18.1 overs to register a six-wicket win. The loss appeared to have left Ronchi visibly frustrated, and that frustration spilled over during his interaction with the media.

The situation escalated when a journalist interrupted Ronchi while he was in the middle of answering a question. Clearly annoyed by the breach of protocol, Ronchi snapped, saying, “He can ask me a question, I don’t give a s**t.”Watch:His remark created an awkward moment in the room, prompting the media coordinator to quickly step in and restore order, urging journalists to maintain decorum during the press conference.

RawalPindiz break losing streak in PSL 2026

Despite being out of contention for the playoffs, RawalPindiz finally had a reason to celebrate. The franchise, playing its debut PSL season, had endured a difficult campaign with eight consecutive losses before this match. However, they managed to turn things around in their penultimate game.The bowling unit, led by Mohammad Amir and Saad Masood, played a crucial role in restricting Islamabad United to a below-par total. In the chase, a steady 45-run knock from Rizwan ensured there were no hiccups as the team sealed its maiden PSL victory.

Islamabad United still in playoff hunt

While the defeat was a setback, Islamabad United remain firmly in the race for a playoff spot. The team has won four of its eight matches so far and currently sits third on the points table with nine points.With two league games remaining, Ronchi’s side will look to bounce back quickly and secure wins against Hyderabad Kingsmen and Multan Sultans.
