‘No need for that’: David Warner’s blunt reply to fan asking him to quit PSL for IPL goes viral

David Warner has replied to a fan who asked him to “quit” the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) after his team Karachi Kings were knocked out before the PSL 11 playoffs.Warner posted on Instagram after the tournament ended for his team and looked back at his team’s campaign. He praised the squad for the “passion, resilience, and attitude” they showed during the season, even though the team could not finish strongly.

He said franchise cricket is not easy to understand fully unless someone is part of that environment.The former Australia opener also thanked fans for their “unwavering support” and appreciated the PSL organisers for their hospitality.At the end of his post, Warner made a light comment saying future editions could include more activities like padel or golf. He also said he hopes to return to full stadiums in the coming seasons.However, one fan commented on the post and suggested that Warner should leave PSL and come back to IPL, saying the latter would be better for him.“It’s better for you to quit PSL and return back in IPL,” the fan wrote.Warner gave a short but clear reply and said he is not thinking about such a move.“No need for that now,” Warner replied.

Karachi Kings, the 2020 champions, were knocked out of PSL 11 after Lahore Qalandars beat Peshawar Zalmi in the 38th match of the tournament.This is the fourth time Karachi Kings have failed to reach the playoffs since the league started in 2016. They had also missed the top four in three straight seasons from 2022 to 2024.
