'Rattled Congress': Rajeev Chandrasekhar clarifies assets charge, says INDIA bloc inevitable in Kerala

NEW DELHI: A day before the polling in Kerala, BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Wednesday dismissed Congress allegations that he failed to disclose assets in his election affidavit, calling the charge a “sad, desperate effort” by a “scared” opposition to divert attention from development. The former union minister also claimed that it was the last time the LDF and the Congress were contesting separately and they will combine their forces as INDIA bloc in Kerala in the next elections. In a statement to ANI, Chandrasekhar said, “Raising allegations doesn’t make it the truth. This is a simple, sad, desperate effort by a scared Congress and a scared CPM to divert people’s attention from development. If they have evidence, why are they not going to the police and the election commission? They will not do that.”
