Consistent grit: Women’s 40–49 category shines at Times Internet half marathon

New Delhi: The Times Internet Half Marathon saw the women’s 21-kilometre category (40–49 age group) take center stage with stories of enduring dedication and passion for running.Ranjana Leading the field was Ranjana, 41 years old. Ranjana finished with a chip time of 1:38:59. Her running journey began as early as Class 3, and it’s remained a constant in her life. Growing up in a middle-class family, Ranjana was first motivated by prize money at local races, but over time, running became a deep, lasting passion. She had high praise for the marathon, saying, “jitna accha bolu, kam hai,” when describing the event’s arrangements.

Tiffany Stephens secured the first runner-up position with a time of 1:44:44. For Stephens, running is all about consistency and endurance. She sees events like these as chances to push her boundaries and stay connected with the wider running community.Asha Manral finished third in the category, clocking 1:45:18 and adding to the competitive spirit of the race. For Manral, running is a way to maintain both physical and mental balance, and she values the experience of competition as much as the performance itself.The women’s 40–49 group embodied how commitment built over years continues to translate into performance. Every runner brought not just speed, but also a personal story of persistence and growth, inspiring those around them. As they wound their way through Delhi, the event once again went beyond competition, highlighting a shared focus on fitness, discipline, and self-improvement.The Times Internet Half Marathon continues to unite individuals in the spirit of running, where each finish line is more than a result it is a celebration of the journey.
