NEW DELHI: Rinku Singh had match-winning impact both with the bat and on the field to help Kolkata Knight Riders pull off a thrilling victory over Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026 on Sunday. After the match, a light-hearted moment between Rinku, his family, and Narine caught fans’ attention.During a video call, Rinku’s sister greeted Narine by saying, “Hello bhaiya”. Rinku quickly corrected her, asking her to say “brother” instead since Narine doesn’t understand Hindi. Despite that, she continued praising him in Hindi, saying, “Bahut acchi bowling kari aapne. (You bowled really well)”

Rinku then translated her words, leading Narine to respond with a smiling “Thank you very much”. The fun exchange left everyone laughing and quickly went viral online.Watch:KKR were in deep trouble at 93/7 when Rinku stepped in and turned the game around with an unbeaten 83 off 51 balls, guiding his team to 155/7. LSG matched the total, pushing the contest into a tense Super Over. There, Sunil Narine delivered under pressure, conceding just one run and taking two key wickets. KKR then chased the target on the very first ball, with Rinku hitting the winning runs to seal a memorable victory.Narine proved to be the game-changer in the Super Over, dismissing Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram to restrict LSG to just one run, the lowest-ever total in a Super Over. Rinku wasn’t just brilliant with the bat; he also impressed in the field, taking four catches and staying involved throughout the game. His performance earned him the Player of the Match award and capped off a remarkable all-round display in a high-pressure encounter.
