‘Sharam karo... Rishabh Pant se kuch seekho’: Yuvraj Singh teases Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill - Watch

NEW DELHI: Rishabh Pant recently gave Yuvraj Singh a special gift to thank him for helping him ahead of IPL 2026. Pant had approached Yuvraj for guidance after a difficult phase in his career, which included a poor IPL season last year and missing out on India’s T20 World Cup squad.Yuvraj, who has mentored several young Indian cricketers over the years, worked closely with Pant, especially on improving his mindset and confidence.Pant gifted Yuvraj a golf club along with a heartfelt note that read, “Dear Yuvi paaji, thank you for your support and guidance. See you on the golf course. Love RP.”

Since retiring from cricket, Yuvraj has become an avid golf lover and often spends time on the course with former teammates.Yuvraj shared the gift video on social media and jokingly teased his other mentees: Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Prabhsimran Singh, Naman Dhir, Abdul Samad and Priyansh Arya.“Sharam karo… Rishabh Pant se kuch seekho (Have some shame… learn something from Rishabh Pant),” Yuvraj joked, asking them to learn from Pant’s thoughtful gesture.Watch:The light-hearted moment quickly caught fans’ attention online, especially because Yuvraj has played a big role in guiding several young Indian stars in recent years.

Despite the off-field support, Pant’s IPL 2026 season has not gone according to plan.In nine innings so far, he has scored 204 runs at an average of 25.50 and a strike rate of 128.30, with only one half-century.Known for his aggressive batting and match-winning ability, Pant has struggled to convert starts into big scores this season.His team has also suffered, sitting at the bottom of the points table with just two wins from nine matches and facing possible elimination from the playoff race.
