Deepika delivers as India beat China to clinch Archery World Cup gold



India’s women’s recurve archery team won a dramatic gold medal at the Archery World Cup in Shanghai after defeating hosts China 5-4 in a shoot-off. Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat and teenager Kumkum Mohod held their nerve after a tense final ended 4-4. India had earlier stunned South Korea in the semifinals, securing their first women’s recurve World Cup gold since 2021.
