Pakistan 101/2 in 26.0 Overs | BAN vs PAK, 2nd Test, Day 4 Live Score: Nahid Rana, Mehidy Hasan rock Pakistan’s big 437-run chase

BAN vs PAK, 2nd Test, Day 4 Live Score: Pakistan will need something extraordinary to avoid losing the two-Test series after Bangladesh set them a formidable 437-run target in the second Test, powered by a landmark century from Mushfiqur Rahim.

Resuming day three at 110 for 3 with a lead already established, Bangladesh extended their dominance through Mushfiqur and Litton Das. The pair added 123 runs for the fifth wicket, with Litton making 69 before falling to Hasan Ali. Mushfiqur carried on to 137, reaching his 14th Test century and overtaking Mominul Haque as Bangladesh’s leading Test centurion.

The veteran also found useful support from Taijul Islam, who scored 22 in a 77-run stand for the eighth wicket. Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 390, with Khurram Shahzad taking 4 for 86 and Sajid Khan claiming 3 for 126.

Pakistan reached stumps at 0 for 0 after two overs, but history is against them. No Pakistan side has ever chased more than 377 in Tests, and the world record remains 418. With Bangladesh having won the first Test, the visitors now need the highest chase in their history to square the series.

Despite the odds, Pakistan pace bowling coach Umar Gul remained optimistic, saying the side would play for victory and not settle for a draw. Bangladesh spinner Taijul, however, said the scoreboard pressure alone could affect Pakistan, adding that discipline would now be key with two days remaining.
