Sunrisers Hyderabad once again turned batting into complete destruction mode as they smashed 255 for 4 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Hyderabad, continuing their record-breaking IPL 2026 campaign. The massive total was SRH’s second-highest score against RCB after their unbelievable 287 for 3 in Bengaluru during IPL 2024. More importantly, it further strengthened Hyderabad’s reputation as the most explosive batting side in IPL history. With this innings, SRH registered their ninth 200-plus total of IPL 2026, the most by any team in a single season. They moved ahead of the Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings teams that had recorded eight 200-plus totals in IPL 2025 and 2026 respectively.

Most 200+ totals in an IPL season

Team Season 200+ Scores
Sunrisers Hyderabad 2026 9*
Gujarat Titans 2025 8
Punjab Kings 2025 8
Punjab Kings 2026 8
Royal Challengers Bengaluru 2026 7

SRH also extended their dominance in another elite batting category. Hyderabad now own six 250-plus totals in IPL history, twice as many as any other franchise.

Team 250+ Totals
Sunrisers Hyderabad 6
Punjab Kings 3
Royal Challengers Bengaluru 3

The carnage was powered by Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen. Abhishek blasted 56 off just 22 balls and took apart former SRH teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar early in the innings. Kishan then anchored the attack with a brilliant 79 off 44 balls before Klaasen unleashed complete mayhem with a 24-ball 51. Klaasen’s assault against Josh Hazlewood completely shifted momentum, with the South African smashing 27 runs in one over to dismantle RCB’s plans. Hyderabad eventually finished with 20 fours and 16 sixes, once again proving why their fearless batting approach has become the biggest talking point of IPL 2026.
