NIA chargesheets Naxal operative over 'keep the revolution alive' funeral speech

NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday chargesheeted a key Naxal operative for having incited a gathering of around 200 persons at the funeral meeting of slain CPI(Maoist) central committee member Katta Ramachandra Reddy in Oct 2025, to actively promote the violent Left-wing extremism (LWE) ideology and keep the “revolution” alive.Gade Innaiah @ Gade Inna — who NIA said was actively propagating the Naxal ideology through Bharat Bachao, a frontal organisation he had co-founded — had then also lambasted erstwhile CPI (Maoist) cadres for having surrendered their weapons before the government agencies.NIA investigation revealed that Gade was closely associated with several senior cadres of CPI (Maoist) and used to meet them in the jungle areas of Chhattisgarh. In the chargesheet filed before the NIA special court at Nampally, Hyderabad, Gade was charged under relevant sections of BNS, 2023 and UA(P)A, 1967. The chargesheet is based on various technical and other evidence collected by NIA during investigation in the case RC 04/2025/NIA/HYD.Gade was arrested in December 2025, based on inputs that he had to made certain incriminating remarks at the funeral meeting of Katta Ramachandra Reddy alias Vikalp, in October 2025.Reddy was killed along with another central committee member, Kadari Satyanarayana Reddy alias Kosa — on September 22, 2025 in the Abujhmad region of Narayanpur district in the Chhattisgarh-Maharashtra border.
