PM Modi delays heading home from Delhi airport to ensure smooth commute for NEET-UG re-exam candidates
PM Modi reportedly waited at Delhi airport to avoid traffic disruptions for students commuting for exam

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday chose to wait at the Delhi airport instead of exiting to avoid traffic disruptions, as Neet re-exam was set to begin at 2pm, according to ANI sources.PM reportedly arrived at Delhi airport at 1.15 pm and chose to wait there instead of immediately heading to his residence. As the NEET-UG examination was scheduled to begin at 2 PM, he delayed his departure to ensure students faced no problems in reaching their examination centres and that traffic movement remained smooth.NEET-UG re-exam is being held at 5,440 centres across 551 cities, as well as at 14 international locations. Over 95,000 examination rooms have been placed under CCTV surveillance through 1.38 lakh cameras monitored at multiple levels. More than 51,000 jammers have also been deployed to prevent electronic malpractice, while candidates reported stricter frisking and security checks compared to the earlier examination.Additionally, according to earlier report, Delhi had heightened security arrangements with additional police personnel deployed at examination centres across the city. Authorities carried out strict entry checks, traffic management and crowd-control measures to ensure the examination was conducted smoothly and without disruption. Free drinking water and refreshments were also provided for parents and guardians waiting outside the centres.
