Sri Lanka 34/2 in 11.3 Overs

West Indies vs Sri Lanka, 2nd Test Live Score: Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first against West Indies in the second and final Test on Friday.

The visitors made three changes to their playing XI, while West Indies welcomed back wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope, who returned after missing the series opener due to injury.

Shai Hope returns; Roach misses out

Hope replaces Joshua de Silva and will also take over wicketkeeping duties.

However, West Indies have been dealt a blow with veteran fast bowler Kemar Roach ruled out because of a hamstring niggle. Roach had reached the milestone of 300 Test wickets during the first Test.

Fast bowler Anderson Phillip comes into the side in his place.

West Indies head into the match full of confidence after registering a massive innings and 217-run victory in the opening Test, their first win in eight matches in the World Test Championship.

Captain Roston Chase said he was happy to bowl first and hoped his team could repeat its performance from the first Test. He also felt the pitch, which has a tinge of grass, could offer assistance to the fast bowlers early in the match.

Sri Lanka make three changes

Sri Lanka have also shuffled their playing XI.

Lahiru Udara replaces opener Pathum Nissanka, while experienced left-arm spinner Prabath Jayasuriya comes in for injured pacer Lahiru Kumara.

The visitors have also brought in Kasun Rajitha in place of Isitha Wijesundara.
