After success of students protest, Kisan Morcha plans to hit streets
Samyukt Kisan Morcha announced Monday that it would restart protests at 100 locations across India, including Delhi, from Nov 26.

NEW DELHI: Emboldened by the success of student protests at Jantar Mantar, Samyukt Kisan Morcha – the umbrella organisation of farmer groups involved in the anti-farm laws agitation five years ago – announced Monday that it would restart protests at 100 locations across India, including Delhi, from Nov 26.The protesters will demand a law guaranteeing MSP; repeal of all FTAs, including the India-US FTA currently under negotiation; a comprehensive loan waiver to address rural indebtedness; scrapping of four labour codes; minimum wage of Rs 31,000 for workers and restoration of the old rural job guarantee scheme; withdrawal of Electricity Privatisation Bill 2025, Seed Bill 2025 and NFSA Amendment Bill; and no forceful land acquisition.“The protests will not be called off till all seven demands are accepted,” said P Krishnaprasad of AIKS.
