One crore homes completed and delivered under PM scheme: Government
The ministry also announced that a “significant milestone” has been achieved with the sanctioning of 1.25 crore houses under the flagship scheme since 2015, of which around one crore have been allotted to women

NEW DELHI: Over one crore houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna in urban areas (PMAY-U) have been completed and delivered, the housing and urban affairs ministry said on Sunday.The ministry also announced that a “significant milestone” has been achieved with sanctioning of 1.25 crore houses under the flagship scheme since 2015, of which around one crore have been allotted to women.Last week, the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee reviewed the scheme’s progress and approved additional housing proposals sent by states and UTs. “During the meeting, over 2.09 lakh houses were sanctioned under PMAY- Urban 2.0 for EWS families,” it said.CSMC said around 1.4 lakh houses were sanctioned under Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) vertical, providing up to Rs 2.5 lakh to build pucca houses on their own land.
